Young innovators from Costa Rica, Malaysia, and Australia, recipients of the 2025 Aramco Innovation Award at the World Robot Olympiad (WRO) International Final, spend a week inside South Korea’s robotics and AI industry.
The MathWorks Modeling Award returns at the WRO 2026 International Final in Puerto Rico, 8–10 December. Open to teams in the Future Innovators and Future Engineers categories, the award recognises exceptional use of MATLAB and/or Simulink in robotics project design, connecting students with the same tools professional engineers use in industry.
In 2025, more than 42,000 students across Africa used robotics to tackle real challenges in health, climate, and food security through WRO — proving that with the right partnerships, robotics education can scale fast and deliver locally rooted innovation.

WRO International Final 2025 concluded this evening in Singapore, after bringing together more than 3,300 young robotics enthusiasts from close to 100 countries as they returned to the birthplace of WRO. The three days of competitions and activities reflected what WRO stands for across all categories: creativity, teamwork, and persistence.
The 2025 Aramco Innovation Award winners were announced today at the World Robot Olympiad™ (WRO®) International Final in Singapore, recognizing the top three teams whose robotic projects are a brilliant showcase of young people tackling global challenges.
WRO Learn is a global learning platform designed to make robotics education accessible all over the world. Developed with support from Aramco, WRO’s strategic partner, WRO Learn provides structured, multilingual courses and interactive tools so that students of all experience levels are able to gain essential STEM skills.
WRO International Final 2025 officially opened on 26 November at Marina Bay Sands in Singapore. More than 3,300 young robotics enthusiasts from close to 100 countries are attending — marking the largest turnout in the competition’s 21-year history.
