WRO Projects

In collaboration with local partners, WRO Association organizes robotic competitions in over 100 countries worldwide. Beyond our competitions, we actively engage in project-based initiatives designed to support our competition program and expand our mission to promote robotics within STEM education globally.

As Global Innovation Partner of WRO, Aramco recognizes the importance of investing in the future by inspiring young innovators. Through this strategic partnership, Aramco contributes expertise and resources to enhance our programs and competitions, enabling us to launch three key initiatives aimed at strengthening support for National Organizers across all 100+ WRO countries.

Future Innovators is a distinctive category within our WRO competitions. Each Future Innovators event showcases teams presenting robotic solutions addressing challenges aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals. Our goal is to enable more teams to engage meaningfully in this category. This initiative provides comprehensive support packages for National Organizers, including appropriate robotics kits, educational resources, and detailed guidance.

We recognize that starting with official WRO competition categories can be intimidating for younger students or newcomers. To address this, many National Organizers have created introductory activities combining robotics basics with a playful, hands-on approach.

Our RoboStarter initiative consolidates these diverse concepts into a collaborative and adaptable framework, making it easier and more enjoyable for new participants to engage. We work closely with National Organizers to customize and implement activities suited to local contexts.

WRO competitions are more than just events – they are transformative learning experiences. To complement these experiences, we are establishing an online learning ecosystem dedicated to robotics education.

In the coming years, this platform will offer specialized content for our Future Innovators and RoboStarter initiatives, along with additional robotics-focused educational materials accessible to students worldwide. We are collaborating with leading technology and education specialists to develop resources that empower WRO participants with essential knowledge and practical skills.
