Singapore, November 27, 2025 — The World Robot Olympiad Association (WRO®) has launched WRO Learn, a global learning platform designed to make robotics education accessible to students, teachers, and judges all over the world. Fittingly, the platform is being launched during one of the world’s largest robotics competitions, the World Robot Olympiad Final, which is taking place in Singapore this year.
Developed with support from Aramco, WRO’s strategic partner, WRO Learn provides structured, multilingual courses and interactive tools so that students of all experience levels are able to gain essential STEM skills.
Following months of testing with educators and National Organizers, WRO Learn is now ready for full global rollout. This is a major step in WRO’s mission to bridge the global STEM education gap by providing access to quality learning materials, giving every learner the opportunity to build future-ready skills such as coding, robotics, and innovation.
Expanding opportunities in STEM education
The launch of WRO Learn is part of a larger goal to create equal opportunities in STEM and nurture the next generation of changemakers. With WRO Learn, the World Robot Olympiad takes another step toward making high-quality STEM education accessible to youth everywhere.
“Robotics education is more than just building and coding. It’s about encouraging innovation and fostering a new generation of innovators and problem-solvers,” said Claus Ditlev Christensen, Secretary General of the World Robot Olympiad. “WRO Learn connects and amplifies our many teaching initiatives across our global network. Together with Aramco, we’re aming to ensure that innovation isn’t limited by geography, background, or resources.”
“We are excited that the launch of WRO Learn will bring STEM skills directly to students, teachers, and coaches around the world, helping students to learn, connect, and innovate wherever they are. Aramco has trained generations of young talent over nine decades, and WRO Learn represents a further expansion of our efforts to develop and empower future global changemakers,” said Hussain Hanbazazah, Aramco Vice President of Communications Operations & Corporate Citizenship.
Through the WRO Learn platform, Aramco and WRO aim to provide access to robotics education for students in more than 100 countries.
Built with and for the global WRO community
More than just a content hub, WRO Learn is a community-driven ecosystem. Teachers, judges, and National Organizers contributed feedback throughout the testing phase to refine the platform’s content and design.
Even before the global launch, more than 700 students, 490 coaches, and 165 judges had completed over 1,200 courses — logging nearly 900 hours of learning in five languages — English, Spanish, German, Arabic, and Hungarian. Educators in countries including Pakistan, Kuwait, and Mexico are already introducing WRO Learn in classrooms and training sessions, and they are reporting higher engagement and confidence in STEM learning.
The platform currently includes different levels of Future Innovators courses for coaches, judges, National Organizers, and students. These courses are built around WRO’s Growing Future Innovators project, also supported by Aramco, which provides tailored robotics kits. The goal is to empower young innovators everywhere to create their own robotics solutions to real-world problems. Features to help National Organizers and educators include progress tracking, virtual classroom features, and certificates to recognize achievement.
“WRO Learn turned our classroom from teacher-led to student-led,” said Mirza Umer Bakht, Robotics Coach at Haque Academy, Pakistan. “Students now take charge and explore the platform themselves — I just have to give them direction.”
Future updates will expand the platform with content for other WRO projects and categories, ensuring that all WRO learners — from first-time participants to seasoned competitors — will be able to find courses to match their favorite category and level.
